A nice morning

I woke up feeling good.  2 days post chemo - how can that be ?

But I will take it. I will not push it.  It  feels good just to feel good.
Maybe my doc gave me extra steriods this time because the last treatment was so rough on me.
Of course I am taking my anti nas meds right on time and drinking tons of fluids to flush the chemo drugs out of my system.

My hubby made me a big cup o Cappuccino and a cinnamon rasin bagel this morning
It smelled good and it tasted good and I ATE IT WITH OUT GAGGING.

But then I opened the frig.......
The Mexican food that my daughter left in the frig overnight made me gag and heave !
The smell.....eeewwwwwwwww
Ugh !!!  Think saran warp and foil next time Gracie !  ewwwwwww.
Please tell me when I can throw it out !

I posted two of my  favorite pictures of Gracie.   One of a birthday party long ago....and the other one from one of our many Mexico trips.(I think this one was 2009)    She was brave enough to let the monkey sit on her head.   What a photo op.  I miss Mexico, we did not get to go this year....but hopefully it will be on our agenda next year.   Gracie graduates in May so I promised her that when I am well again we will go whereever she wants next year for  vacation........Mexico, Hawaii, California, New York, Las Vegas, A cruise, Disney World, so many places.....I wonder where her hearts desire is going to take us ?

I dont think Gracie knows what to do with a mother who has cancer. But she seems to know when I need a hug.   I plan on taking her to one of my chemo treatments so she can see what goes on in the chemo room and how many people are so sick from cancer.

She makes me smile with her stories from work and she feeds the cats for me because she knows the smell of cat food makes me gag.

She works at a swanky upscale  restaurant in town and she just got a raise.  (because she is such a great employee) and she has a 4.0 average.  I  am so proud of the person she is growing up to be.  She has learned to let all the petty stuff from high school go and she is ready move on to what real life is all about.   I know she is looking forward to college and making her own way in the world.   And that makes me proud.

I love you Gracie (and yes you will always be Gracie to me)
